Are you using a wireless device to view internet? What browser are you using to access the web? There are various web browsers such as Safari, Microsoft internet explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and etc. All of these web browsers have their own pros and cons.

Safari is a web browser which is developed by Apple Inc. It comes along with Mac operating system and Mac iOS. The latest stable version of safari is Safari 5.1. It can be downloaded in Mac OS and Microsoft Windows platforms. According to the user rating (2011) in United states Safari is the fourth most used operating system. Microsoft internet explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome are the first three web browsers in the rating. Safari web browsers have several features such as bookmark integration with address book, ICC color profile support, support for CSS3 fonts, Support for HTML 5, Support for Transport Layer Security protocol, Private browsing, Tabbed browsing, iPhoto integration, Mail Integration, Quartz style font smoothing, Apple Dash board (only for Mac OS X)and etc.

Why isn’t Safari working with my wireless?

  • Wireless Security
Many wireless connections are encrypted with a password that must be answered before Safari will work. Usually, after you connect, you get a prompt to enter the key. If it is the wrong password or you never saw the prompt, the Internet may appear to be connected when it really isn't. Go back to "Settings," and tap "Wi-Fi." Look under "Choose a Network" to find the network you're currently connected to. It will have a check mark and a lock if it is password-protected. Tap it, and enter the wireless key.
  • Poor Connection
When you first connect to the Internet, you will see up to three bars showing at the top of the screen. If there is only one bar, it means you have a poor connection. This means the Internet might seem slow, get dropped frequently or stop working altogether. Try moving closer to the wireless router, if possible. Alternatively, connect to a different connection with a better signal.
